Where it all began
Cocco was established in 2009. A new concept salon, We wanted to create the perfect place for people to migrate to for a bespoke hair and beauty experience while keeping the environment in mind.
Situated in the back waters of Derby City centre, we set out to offer an urban well-being hub to attract clients from surrounding areas of Derby, Ashbourne, Belper & Nottingham and found a beautiful victorian building in the Ashbourne Road, Friargate area of town.
Purposely built in 1878 for the Co-Operative, it boasts plenty of free parking and close links to A52, A38, A50 it was perfect!
In August 2009 we got the keys and embarked upon a mammoth 8 week intensive and exhausting refurb. Quality was the key, with bespoke styling stations imported from the USA and beautiful chairs from Italy after few finishing touches Cocco was ready.
